E8 One rules come down to one choice and one check. The choice is your max drawdown (4%, 6%, 8%, 10% or 14%), which sets a profit target of 1.5x that drawdown, the daily limit and the price. The check comes once you're funded: no single day may make up more than 40% of the profit you withdraw. There's no time limit, no minimum days, and the challenge can be passed in a day.

Rules and prices checked on E8 Markets' official configurator and help centre on 17 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • E8 One is a one-phase challenge sold from $5K to $500K on Classic Markets (forex, indices, metals, crypto CFDs) and on Perpetual Futures.
  • The profit target is 1.5x the drawdown you pick: 6% at the 4% option, 9% at 6%, up to 21% at 14%.
  • The max drawdown is dynamic: it rises with closed profit and locks at the starting balance once it catches up.
  • Funded payouts need a 40% best day and net profit above half your daily drawdown. The fastest first payout is 3 days.
  • News trading is free in the challenge, but funded accounts can't trade from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact news.

What is E8 One and how does the challenge work?

One phase, then the SimFi Performance account.

E8 One is E8 Markets' most configurable product: a single-phase E8 One challenge in E8's SimFi simulated environment, with uncapped payouts once funded. You reach the profit target on closed profit without breaching the daily or dynamic drawdown, and you move to a SimFi Performance account. There's no time limit and no minimum number of trading days, so it can be passed in one day. The only clock is inactivity: you must place and close at least one trade every 60 days.

Classic Markets or Perpetual Futures

The market is picked at checkout, and the rules, prices and payout mechanism are the same on both. What changes is the instruments, fees and platform:

  • Classic Markets: forex, indices, metals, energies and crypto on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or MatchTrader (US clients get TradeLocker and MatchTrader only). Accounts use hedging.
  • Perpetual Futures: crypto, stocks, indices, metals and FX perpetuals priced from Hyperliquid, on E8 Terminal only. Accounts use netting. Our E8 Perpetuals guide compares E8 One with E8 Pro on that market.

E8 One drawdown rules: daily and dynamic

E8 One $100K drawdown options: 4% to 14% max drawdown with profit targets $6,000 to $21,000, daily drawdown $3,000 to $9,200 and list prices $398 to $879

Source: E8 account configurator, checked 17 Oct 2026.

E8 One has two loss limits, both enforced on equity and balance, and both carry into the funded account. Touch either and the account closes permanently, even if the forced close leaves the balance above the line.

Daily drawdown

The daily limit is a fixed dollar amount taken from the initial balance, and the loss level resets every day at 00:00 server time from that day's starting balance. On a $100K account at the 6% option, the daily amount is $4,000. Start a day at $102,500 and the floor for that day is $98,500. Start at $99,200 and it's $95,200.

Dynamic drawdown

The max drawdown trails your highest closed balance, not your equity, so floating profit on an open swing trade doesn't move it. On $100K at 6%, the loss level starts at $94,000:

  1. Close +$2,000: the balance is $102,000 and the loss level rises to $96,000.
  2. Close −$3,000: the balance is $99,000 and the loss level stays at $96,000.
  3. Close +$7,000: the balance is $106,000 and the loss level locks at $100,000 for good.

Once your closed profit equals the drawdown amount, the limit becomes static at the starting balance. E8's help centre also flags "all-or-nothing" trading: risking the whole daily drawdown on one trade idea isn't permitted, and E8 says its most successful traders risk 1% to 1.5% per idea.

E8 One payout rules: the 40% best day

E8 One funded account payout rules: 40% best day, $2,001 minimum payout on $100K, first payout in 3 days, no trading 5 minutes around high-impact news

Source: E8 Markets help centre, checked 17 Oct 2026.

E8 One pays on demand once your funded account meets two conditions, and the fastest first payout is 3 days after the performance stage starts.

  1. 40% best day: your biggest profit day can't exceed 40% of total profit in the payout cycle. If your best day is $1,000, you need at least $2,500 of total profit before requesting.
  2. Minimum size: net profit must exceed half your daily drawdown. On $100K with a 4% daily drawdown, that's $2,001.

Breaking the 40% rule doesn't fail the account. You keep trading until the big day falls below 40% of the total. After each payout, the best day and the cycle's profit reset, so the next check uses new profit only. Splitting one winning position across days to dodge the rule isn't allowed, and E8 may count it as a single day.

Leave a buffer when you withdraw

A payout comes off the balance, but the dynamic loss level doesn't come down with it. Suppose a $100K account at 6% sits at $106,000 with the loss level locked at $100,000. Withdraw $3,000 and you keep a $3,000 buffer. Withdraw all $6,000 and the balance is on the loss level, which breaches the account. E8 suggests leaving at least 2% to 3% in after every payout.

How E8 pays

E8 One payouts go through Rise, WorkMarket or, for US clients, Aeropay. It reports a median of 11 hours from request to approval and 24 hours to funds (January to May 2026), and up to 5 business days in some cases. Our tracker recorded $1,450,368 across 548 on-chain payouts from E8 Markets in the 30 days to 17 October 2026. That's firm-wide across all E8 products, and a verified floor rather than full volume, since bank transfers leave no on-chain trace. See the E8 Markets payouts page for live figures.

E8 One news trading and other restrictions

Empty press briefing podium with microphones, illustrating E8 One's high-impact news trading window

Funded E8 One accounts sit out 5 minutes either side of high-impact news.

E8 One allows news trading during the challenge without restriction. On the funded account, high-impact news is off limits from 5 minutes before the release to 5 minutes after (for speeches, until 5 minutes after the speech ends) on the targeted instruments. In that window you can't open or close trades, place or move stops and take-profits, or set pending orders. The platform won't stop you, but profits made in the window are deducted when you request a payout.

What else applies

  • Overnight and weekend holding are allowed at every stage. Gaps on forex, indices and commodities are your risk.
  • Copy trading between your own accounts is allowed. Trading with or for anyone else isn't.
  • EAs are allowed, but if several users run the same strategy, accounts can be closed.
  • No more than 50% of your trades may be held for under one minute.
  • Hedging across accounts is prohibited, even between your own.
  • Funded capital is capped at $500,000 of E8 One per market, per household. You can buy more challenges, and the extras wait in reserve.

E8 One drawdown options and prices

The drawdown you choose at checkout moves everything else. A bigger drawdown gives more room, but the target rises with it and the price climbs. Here is the $100K account at each option:
