FundedNext's CFD account types come down to four models: Stellar 2-Step, Stellar 1-Step, Stellar Lite and Stellar Instant. Three are challenges with a profit target and a static loss limit; Instant skips the challenge for a 6% trailing limit. On a $100K account, the challenges cost $371.99 (Lite) to $530.09 (1-Step) with code CRITIC.

Rules and prices checked on FundedNext's official site, help centre and checkout on 13 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Stellar 1-Step is the fastest route: one 10% target, but the tightest limits at 3% daily and 6% total.
  • Stellar 2-Step gives the most room, 5% daily and 10% total, in exchange for two phases.
  • Stellar Lite is the cheapest challenge per dollar of account and, since 12 October 2026, needs only 2 trading days per phase.
  • Stellar Instant has no challenge and no daily limit, but starts at a 70% reward share and tops out at $20K.
  • All four apply the same funded-account rules on news trading, 3% open risk and Quick Strike scalping.

What are the four FundedNext CFD account types?

FundedNext sells four CFD models under the Stellar name. Stellar 2-Step and Stellar Lite are two-phase challenges, Stellar 1-Step is a single phase, and Stellar Instant is a funded account from the day you buy it. All four trade on MT4, MT5, cTrader or Match-Trader through FundedNext, and none of the challenges has a time limit.

The three challenges share one structure: hit the target without breaching a daily or total loss limit, sign the agreement, pass KYC and a risk review, then trade a FundedNext Account with no target. They differ in how hard the target is, how much room the limits leave and how quickly you get paid. Instant replaces all of that with a trailing loss limit and a tiered reward share.

FundedNext also runs short-lived experimental plans under its Labs banner, such as a no-daily-limit 1-Step. They come with limited slots and change often, so this guide covers only the four permanent models.

Stellar 1-Step vs 2-Step: speed or room?

Stellar 1-Step gets you funded in as little as 2 trading days with a single 10% target, while Stellar 2-Step needs at least 10 trading days over two phases but gives you almost twice the loss room. On $100K, 1-Step breaches at a $3,000 daily loss or a balance below $94,000; 2-Step allows $5,000 a day and a floor of $90,000.

Both earn the 15% challenge reward once the account qualifies for scale-up, and both refund the challenge fee, 1-Step with the third performance reward and 2-Step with the first. The choice comes down to drawdown tolerance: a strategy that regularly sits 4% under water fits 2-Step; one that rarely dips below 2% can take the faster 1-Step route. Our Stellar 1-Step guide covers that model in full.

Who is Stellar Lite for?

Stellar Lite is the budget pick of the FundedNext range.

Stellar Lite is the budget two-phase challenge: targets of 8% and 4%, a 4% daily limit and an 8% static maximum loss, at prices from $29.99 for $5K to $743.06 for $200K with code CRITIC. Its $100K costs $371.99, against $511.49 for the same size on Stellar 2-Step.

FundedNext changed Lite on 12 October 2026. For accounts bought or reset from that date, the minimum is 2 trading days per phase instead of 5, and the standard payout cycle is 10 business days instead of 21 days and then 14. The 5-day minimum still applies if you choose the 3-day or on-demand payout structure, and the checkout card we saw on 13 October still listed 5 days, so confirm the figure before you buy. Lite gives up two extras the other challenges have: there is no 15% challenge reward, and the fee is refunded only with the third performance reward.

How does Stellar Instant work without a challenge?

Hand turning a key in a front door, a picture of FundedNext Stellar Instant funding without a challenge

Stellar Instant skips the challenge but uses a 6% trailing loss limit.

Stellar Instant gives you a funded account straight away, in sizes of $2K, $5K, $10K and $20K, with no target, no daily loss limit, no minimum days and no consistency rule. Overnight and weekend holding is allowed, and EAs are allowed on every size.

The safeguard is a 6% trailing maximum loss. On a $10K account the floor starts at $9,400 and rises with every new high balance until it reaches $10,000, where it stops. It never moves back down, including after a withdrawal: grow to $10,450 (floor $9,850), withdraw $100, and your cushion is down to $500. FundedNext explains the mechanics in its Stellar Instant rules article.

Payouts open on demand once the account is up 5%, or after 14 days with at least 1% growth. The reward share starts at 70% and rises to 80% from tier 3, and you can hold at most $20,000 of Instant allocation at once. For the trade-offs of skipping evaluations in general, see our look at instant funding prop firms.

Which rules apply to every FundedNext account?

Four rules apply across the Stellar range once you are trading a funded account, and they decide more payouts than the challenge targets do:

  1. News window: on every Stellar funded account, including Instant, only 40% of the profit from trades within 5 minutes of a high-impact release counts. Losses count in full.
  2. 3% open risk: potential loss across open trades may not exceed 3% of the initial balance. A second breach permanently lowers the account's limit to 1%.
  3. Quick Strike: trades closed within 30 seconds may not reach 30% of a cycle's profit.
  4. EAs below $50K only on the three challenges; Instant allows them on every size.

FundedNext pays rewards by crypto, RiseWorks, Confirmo, bank transfer, card or FNmarkets, and says it settles within 24 hours of approval. Our tracker recorded $14,074,772 across 8,875 FundedNext payouts in the 30 days to 13 October 2026, firm-wide. That is a verified on-chain floor; bank and card payouts are not counted. See our FundedNext payouts page for the daily figures.

Verdict

Pick the FundedNext account by how your strategy loses, not by how it wins. Traders whose drawdowns run deep should take Stellar 2-Step and its 10% static floor; traders with tight, steady curves get paid sooner on Stellar 1-Step, as long as a 3% daily limit never comes into play. Stellar Lite is the value pick now that it needs only 2 days per phase and pays every 10 business days, though it gives up the 15% challenge reward and refunds the fee later. Stellar Instant suits traders who would rather pay more per dollar of capital than sit an evaluation, but its trailing floor and 70% starting share make it the most expensive route to the same profit. Whichever you choose, the funded-account rules on news, open risk and short trades are the same, so read them before your first trade.
