Goat Guard is GFT's risk management system designed to protect traders from excessive losses and encourage disciplined risk management.

It monitors the combined floating PnL of your open positions and is triggered when they reach a combined floating loss equal to **2% of your initial account size**.

    # HOW IS THE 2% THRESHOLD CALCULATED?

The 2% is always measured against the initial size of your account. It is not measured against your current balance, and it is not measured against your equity.

Your Goat Guard threshold is therefore a fixed amount for the life of the account. It does not increase as your balance grows.

    **Example:**

    - Initial account size: **$5,000**

    - Goat Guard threshold: $5,000 x 2% = **$100**

    - Your balance later grows to $5,136. Your threshold is still **$100**. It does not become $102.72.

    - A combined floating loss reaching $100 triggers Goat Guard.

    # WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GOAT GUARD IS TRIGGERED?

    **First Trigger**

The first time Goat Guard is triggered:

    - You will receive an email notifying you of the trigger.

    - Your open positions remain open, your account stays active, and you can continue trading.

    - Your profit split is reduced to 50%.

The first trigger does not result in an account breach.

    **Second Trigger**

If Goat Guard is triggered a second time, your account will be breached and permanently closed.

    # HOW ARE GOAT GUARD TRIGGERS CALCULATED?

When Goat Guard is triggered, GFT records a snapshot of all positions open at that moment.

As long as that exact group of positions remains unchanged, those positions continuing to fluctuate below the 2% threshold will not cause another trigger.

A new snapshot is created whenever the composition of your open positions changes, for example if:

    - One or more positions from the original snapshot are closed; or

    - A new position is opened.

Once the snapshot changes, if the new set of open positions reaches the 2% floating loss threshold, Goat Guard will trigger again.

Important: After your first trigger, any new qualifying trigger will result in the account being breached.

    **EXAMPLE**

You have a $100,000 account with Position A and Position B open. Your Goat Guard threshold is $2,000, which is 2% of the $100,000 initial account size.

Their combined floating PnL reaches -$2,000, triggering Goat Guard for the first time. Your positions remain open, your account remains active, and your profit split is reduced to 50%.

If A and B remain open and their loss continues to fluctuate around or below -$2,000, this remains the same trigger.

However, if you close A or B, or open a new Position C, a new snapshot is created. If this new set of positions reaches the $2,000 threshold, it counts as your second trigger and the account will be breached.

    # **WHY DOES GFT HAVE GOAT GUARD?**

Goat Guard encourages better risk management by warning traders when their floating exposure becomes excessive.

The first trigger allows you to continue trading with a reduced 50% profit split, while a second trigger results in an account breach.

    # CAN I KEEP TRADING AFTER GOAT GUARD IS TRIGGERED?

Yes. After the first trigger, your account remains active, your positions remain open, and you can continue trading immediately.

    # WHERE DOES GOAT GUARD APPLY?

Goat Guard applies to all funded accounts excluding Instant Funding accounts.

When Goat Guard is triggered, GFT records a snapshot of all positions open at that moment.

As long as that exact group of positions remains unchanged, those positions continuing to fluctuate below the 2% threshold will not cause another trigger.

Goat Guard is GFT's risk management system designed to protect traders from excessive losses and encourage disciplined risk management.

It monitors the combined floating PnL of your open positions and is triggered when they reach a combined floating loss equal to 2% of your account balance.

    ## WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GOAT GUARD IS TRIGGERED?

    **First Trigger**

The first time Goat Guard is triggered:

    - You will receive an email notifying you of the trigger.

    - Your open positions remain open, your account stays active, and you can continue trading.

    - Your profit split is reduced to 50%.

The first trigger does not result in an account breach.

    **Second Trigger**

If Goat Guard is triggered a second time, your account will be breached and permanently closed.

    ## HOW ARE GOAT GUARD TRIGGERS CALCULATED?

When Goat Guard is triggered, GFT records a snapshot of all positions open at that moment.

As long as that exact group of positions remains unchanged, those positions continuing to fluctuate below the 2% threshold will not cause another trigger.

A new snapshot is created whenever the composition of your open positions changes—for example, if:

    - One or more positions from the original snapshot are closed; or

    - A new position is opened.

Once the snapshot changes, if the new set of open positions reaches the 2% floating loss threshold, Goat Guard will trigger again.

Important: After your first trigger, any new qualifying trigger will result in the account being breached.

    EXAMPLE

You have a $100,000 account with Position A and Position B open.

Their combined floating PnL reaches -$2,000 (-2%), triggering Goat Guard for the first time. Your positions remain open, your account remains active, and your profit split is reduced to 50%.

If A and B remain open and their loss continues to fluctuate around or below -2%, this remains the same trigger.

However, if you close A or B, or open a new Position C, a new snapshot is created. If this new set of positions reaches the 2% threshold, it counts as your second trigger and the account will be breached.

    ## **WHY DOES GFT HAVE GOAT GUARD?**

Goat Guard encourages better risk management by warning traders when their floating exposure becomes excessive.

The first trigger allows you to continue trading with a reduced 50% profit split, while a second trigger results in an account breach.

    ## CAN I KEEP TRADING AFTER GOAT GUARD IS TRIGGERED?

Yes. After the first trigger, your account remains active, your positions remain open, and you can continue trading immediately.

    ## WHERE DOES GOAT GUARD APPLY?

Goat Guard applies to all funded accounts excluding Instant Funding accounts.

Goat Guard is GFTs risk management system designed to protect traders from excessive losses. Our data shows that exceeding the Maximum Daily Drawdown is the leading cause of account breaches, with over 73% of all breaches happening due to poor risk control. The most successful traders are those who cut losses quickly and let their winning trades run. Goat Guard enforces proper risk management to help traders maintain consistent profitability.

    # How does Goat Guard work?

Goat Guard applies to Funded Accounts only. If your open trades reach a 2% loss of your account balance, Goat Guard will, in most cases, automatically close all open trades across all symbols. This is a soft breach, meaning you can continue trading immediately without further restrictions.

Example: If you have a $100,000 balance and three open trades, and your combined open PnL hits -$2,000 (2%), Goat Guard will automatically close all your trades to prevent further drawdowns. You can continue trading as usual afterward.

    # Why does GFT have Goat Guard?

Goat Guard helps prevent traders from blowing their funded accounts by reinforcing risk discipline. By managing risk properly, traders increase their long-term profitability and maintain consistency.

What happens if I trigger Goat Guard multiple times?

Goat Guard is designed to guide traders toward better risk management while allowing some flexibility. However, repeated breaches come with increasing consequences:

1st breach – Profit split reduced to 50%.

2nd breach – Account is breached.

This structure encourages traders to improve their risk control while keeping their funded accounts secure.

    # Can I keep trading after Goat Guard is triggered?

Yes! Goat Guard does not ban you from trading. It simply closes all your open trades when the loss threshold is met. You can resume trading immediately.

    # Where does Goat Guard apply?

Goat Guard applies on all funded accounts excluding instant funding accounts.
