My Funded Futures FAQs
Answers sourced from My Funded Futures’s own help center.
There are three stages: an evaluation, then a Sim Funded account, then a Live funded account. Plans are monthly subscriptions rather than one-time fees. You trade futures — equity index, energy, metals, agricultural, interest rate, and currency contracts — on platforms including NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, and ATAS.
Three main routes. Rapid is a one-step evaluation — on the $50K version you need $3,000 profit against a $2,000 end-of-day max loss, with no daily loss limit and a 50% consistency rule during the evaluation only. Builder has no consistency rule in the evaluation (you could pass in a single day if you hit the $3,000 target), no activation fee, and a $1,000 soft-pause daily loss limit, with your choice of a $1,500 or $2,000 max loss limit. Flex has no daily loss limit, no buffer, no activation fee, and a 50% consistency rule in evaluation — passable in as little as two days.
Up to 90% of profits, which is among the higher splits in the futures space.
Evaluations use an end-of-day trailing drawdown. On a Sim Funded account the max loss trails your equity high-water mark intraday, always sitting $2,000 beneath it while it moves. Once that trailing level reaches $100 it locks permanently and stops trailing — from that point you simply need to keep at least $100 in the account.
It depends on the plan, with cycles running anywhere from daily to bi-weekly. On Builder you need at least $500 in net profit above the buffer — on the $2,000 option that means your balance must reach $2,600 before your first request. Flex has no buffer at all: you can withdraw after five winning days of $150 or more, with a $250 minimum payout.
Your single largest profit day in a payout cycle cannot make up more than 50% of your total profit for that cycle. It is assessed at the moment you submit a payout request. It applies to the Rapid and Flex evaluations, while Builder has no consistency rule during evaluation and Sim Funded accounts have none either.
It varies by stage and plan. News trading is fully unrestricted on the Builder Plan. On Sim Funded accounts, Tier-1 news trading is not allowed. On Live accounts news trading is permitted, though the firm openly discourages it.
No. All positions must be closed before the session ends, and the platform automatically closes anything still open before 4:10 pm EST. On live accounts that automatic close is handled by their system and is not treated as a punishable breach.
On a Sim Funded account, going seven consecutive calendar days without placing a trade closes the account for inactivity. Live accounts have no inactivity rule at all.
A live breach triggers a 21-day cooldown period. During that window you cannot trade any sim funded account, and you cannot purchase new evaluations or account resets.
Microscalping is permitted on live accounts — the CME places no restriction on it — and dollar-cost averaging is allowed, though flagged as risky. What is not permitted is hedging or cross-hedging the same underlying asset in both directions at the same time. There are no limits on how many trades you can place per day or week; beyond these rules you are simply expected to follow CME rules.
Only one Sim Funded account may be active per user on the Builder Plan. Once you have a live account you cannot trade the sim and live environments simultaneously, and simulated evaluations go dormant after the transition. Multiple live accounts are possible but reserved for high-performing traders and arranged with your risk manager. Note that once you are selected for a live account, declining the move is not possible.
